Our Rolex history

Rolex and Martin Binder History

The Martin Binder legacy, rooted in our grandfather's humble shop in downtown Valparaiso, began in the 1940s with Martin Binder’s devotion to crafting intricate timepieces. Joined by his wife Mary soon after, the duo moved into the corner location on Lincolnway, expanding their jewelry store into new storefronts along the avenue. In 2013, owner and grandson, Robert Flude, moved the downtown landmark to a free-standing location on a major highway in Valparaiso, affording more showroom space and an elevated Rolex experience.

A Legacy of Service

In the 1960’s, Martin Binder was one of the first in the Midwest to join the worldwide network of Official Rolex Jewelers. We have been proud to partner with Rolex, and to be considered the source for luxury timepieces in the Northwest Indiana market.
